About the Centre

The Centre provides a focal-point for research in public law and constitutional theory, addressing current constitutional developments in the United Kingdom and beyond. The Centre has a broad membership including colleagues working in public law, EU law, international law and legal theory.

Centre members' work focuses on four main research areas: electoral law and the law of referendums, federalism and multinational states, constitutional theory and constitutionalism beyond (and below) the state.

Centre members work at the cutting edge of developments in constitutional law, constitution-making, peace-building, electoral law, human rights and environmental law.

The Centre can provide specialised consultancy in a wide-range of areas to governments, international organisations and companies.
